I read the bill passed but I couldn't find if the Governor signed it yet. The source I found (not sure how reliable) sounds like this is for 14 to 17 year olds. Apparently current law already allows for the judge's discretion of whether the offender has to register as a sex offender in the case of vaginal sex but now this bill expands this for anal and oral sex as well. I don't agree with this law but we should try and be as accurate as possible. Correct me if I'm wrong or if my source is incorrect.

You’re basically correct. However in this instance they should look at fixing the law for vaginal penetration instead on going this route.
In California it’s possible to be put on the sex offender registry for getting drunk and pissing in public, meanwhile a gay man can fuck kids in the ass and apparently not be put on the list of the judge likes him. And then for no reason at all...
Yeah I don't agree with it. I think the outrage should have been at the initial law passed but this just makes it worse. The sex offender registry for pissing on the street is nonsense, I've heard that before and it's total insanity. And yeah with the bad decisions of judges lately, I wouldn't put it passed them to start letting people off left and right.
