At work I get referred to sometimes as an expert at things. Which is nice, but I also know what I don’t know. Just informs me to always take expert with a grain of salt. It’s a title given by the less informed. No more no less.
After I got promoted, I became the expert that people go too for answers. About 60% of the time, I'm making shit up as I go and it seems to work out just fine.
I'm still learning new stuff as I go, but damn. They expected me to know everything as soon as I took that position.
