I don’t want them driving drunk either, and it’s perfectly legal to acquire alcohol.

Fair point, but consider that meth is already widely available in all 50 states anyway. There already are millions of people using these drugs, today. I don’t think legalization would encourage use, if real responsibility and education were a part of the deal.

We’ll probably never know, though, as we will undoubtedly double down on failed drug policy.

I would also add as an alcoholic myself, that I disagree with your assertion. Alcohol, for me at least, brought me to the brink of death and destruction of everything I hold dear. I say that without hyperbole.

Today, I am sober and thankful for that everyday.
