I just made a comment on the post about Trump removing federal funds from cities that have constant lawlessness: remove big cities from the union! Impossible dream is getting closer.
Hey... how about a service that lets you order food directly from farmers? Market it to small local grocery stores, restaurants, farms (for feed purchases), etc. Wouldn't be too expensive and you could expand to an Uber-like delivery system down the road. Would really help decentralize food supply. Then next time there's a shutdown you wouldn't see farmers dumping milk and more people could keep their jobs. There's your sales pitch haha.
Unfortunately, food typically required prep and packaging so unless the farmers take that on, it gets tricky. You can buy meat from local farmers here but you need to have freezer space for half a cow for it to be financially worthwhile.
Include butchers and local processors in this maybe. Eventually there might be enough capital to finance farmers setting up in-house facilities if they demonstrate profitability or something. There's always a solution, usually hundreds in fact.
I would definitely like to see this if it could be done. There are a few options here but the premium is high. I probably should eat a bit less meat anyway though.
Imagine if farmers said only Trump supporters will be delivered food. lol
Even truckers

the FDA will do what is can to stop that, changing the rules even. The big dogs will see to that.
