These currencies have their uses, but we need hard currencies. It is not wise to throw ourselves at digital when the digital world is totally run by the beast.
Fiat currencies are fine for most transactions but they are free for unelected tyrants to manipulate. The dollar means nothing of itself and we are headed for a terrible collapse of it and have been for decades.
We should be using precious metals or asset-backed currencies for insulation from tyrants and manipulation (and good old mismanagement). I think any money you save should go to that. Daily spending money could be Reserve notes or bitcoin but we shouldn't be dependent on either.
Diversification is definitely important. Cryptos have several advantages over precious metals that shouldn't be underestimated but do have disadvantages in other areas.
Plus, for either gold or Bitcoin, you can't eat em or shoot anyone with them so stock up accordingly.
And then one bad EMP and all the money goes poof.

EMPs arent that large. The economy is global now so if we get lucky and the fed implodes, the rest of the world will rise to the new demand
