Sadly there is an advantage to that "debt". The card company will fight for you to be able to refund the transaction if something messed up happens. Why? Because they know you won't pay them back for something you never recieved.

I pay my card off every paycheck. Seems to be the best compromise I can think of. I get all the safety services, and they don't make a dime of fees or interest off me. It also makes you look responsible or something. 🤔

They collect info on everything you buy and sell it to other creepy companies.

Respectfully, in my opinion you are complicit in your own slavery.

The protections you speak of are available using Visa/Mastercard Debit (your money but it goes through the CC system so they can charge a merchant fee).

By "looking responsible" I assume you mean maintaining a good credit rating. This is achievable by paying all bills/rent on time and saving a fixed proportion of your income each month. "You need to have a credit card to get a good credit rating" is the exact garbage you'd expect the bloodsuckers to tell us.
