I fell for the mileage scam. Racked up a bunch of miles for a vacation, but they had so many restrictions on them I couldn't use them they way I wanted. This was a big bank, too, it's why I switched banks. Then a couple of months later they ended the program and I got NOTHING for those points.

Fuck that shit. I buy something, I pay it off as soon as possible. I can't afford it? I can't have it. The cards I have are nice for emergencies, but I don't carry a balance or pay attention to anything but cold, hard cash back.
