The Town of Palm Beach is completely shutting down their beaches this Labor Day weekend by closing off the main entrances, and they also apparently have some curfew from 11 PM to 6 AM. However, it's funny because a lot of private residences abut the beach, so good luck keeping them away. Also, on A1A I've been seeing pickup trucks with huge American Flags, possibly even Trump flags on their seaward side when they pass by (hard to tell form my vantage point). The majority of people around here don't wear masks outside, and only do so very reluctantly inside when they do, despite the gestapo tactics of random inspections (not as bad as Miami, though). The biker joints only have employees wearing masks, that's it, and even the cops I know weren't wearing them over there. Despite all of this, Florida's COVID numbers, even those in Palm Beach County, are better than many other places including those with stricter rules. It's all a farce. I'm cool with enhanced cleaning, because it's always good to have that during even the most normal of times, but the individual mandates and restricted hours are whack.
