SF not on the list, sad. They should have been defunded for the Sanctuary city bullshit years ago.
But this is a massive move on his part. I'm sure Wheeler and those morons thought he was bluffing, but after four years, you'd think they'd have learned, he doesn't bluff. He stared down China and NK, you think some mayors frighten him?
I love that if this goes it should, it will end the careers of cretins like DeBlasio and Wheeler.
The real evil in SF is the City Council. They run Bartertown. Many of them are outright socialists, and have tried to push into areas they have no business sticking their communist noses into. They at one point had one who was calling for ending private property in SF, the city would own everything.
You want to clean up SF, you need to get rid of the City Council. Period. The Mayor is a figurehead, as well as the police chief, they've both shown how little power they have to the City Council and the higher ups in Sacramento. This is Nancy's turf, as one of the big CA families that have dominated CA politics for decades and decades. There's a lot of work to do, to seize power back. LA is even worse. CA is so corrupt, I don't see how it could be cleaned up in anyone's lifetime. It's rotten to the core at every level. In some ways, it's worse than Chicago or NYC for corruption.
Every single major highway runs through here. Most of the countries food is grown here. We are the hub of transportation for a significant portion of the world and somehow we fucking went bankrupt.
This is a microcosm of the entire state of California. The state is pretty much a Garden of Eden. It has everything: world class tech industry, center of the world for movie making, fertile farming valleys, world class wine industry, ample natural resources, phenomenal weather, beautiful beaches, etc.
And yet.....the state is a complete dumpster fire.
Sanctuary cities were defunded to some extent, but the process went to court and I think ended it. Sessions (yes I know keebler sleepy elf) did actually get two or three sanctuary areas to change policy. One in florida for sure. It was all a while back so I'm light on details.
