Trump isn't necessarily going after "the worst", he's going after biggest, most visible targets. Consider the list: NYC is a front and center example of a city bleeding out people. Washington D.C. is almost in open rebellion to the Feds with what they are trying with the monuments. Seattle had the CHAZ. Portland's mayor is attacking Trump and simultaneously failing his city on the national stage. All of these cities repeatedly refused Federal assistance.

Trump is fighting on the national stage and taking on the most visible targets for maximum visual effect to showcase consequences.

100% this!

They were excellent choices to have the most public effect in the current situation..

Do other cities need the same treatment? Yes.

However THESE cities are the ones everyone is currently watching destroy themselves while thumbing their noses at President Trump.

The rational public will accept this as a valid actions now.

He offered to help each and every city on the list publicly and repeatedly. They rejected the offers.

This is an excellent move, and he hasn't cut off anything yet, his departments are supposed to report back what CAN be cut.

He has not cut anything yet and TDS'ers are already screaming from the roof tops.
