I agree with your sentiment wholeheartedly. But remember when Microsoft was under anti trust investigations? They lost, but then won appeal, and basically got free reign to continue doing what they've been doing.
I didn't remember that they won the appeal, so you bring up a solid point. But there are a lot of routes to a good ending and none of them are being taken, and while it's not exclusively the libertarians' faults, they're a critical vulnerability when they cross party lines.
Normally I hate voting on party lines too, but since the Democrats are doing it -- and trying to force you to resign if you don't, as per Vernon Jones -- you have to fight fire with fire.
