51-49 votes are a meme. Many on the right, especially RINOs in particular (which Rand isn't) only vote a certain way when it won't impact the final outcome, so I couldn't even if I were willing to try.

I do have a personal grudge against Rand for voting against the national emergency, but my post was mostly expressing frustration at the people who go from thread to thread identifying as a libertarian with the mentality of "they're a private company, it doesn't matter, you shouldn't want them to be dealt with".

It gets exhausting and frustrating when you see this stuff happening on what seems to be a daily basis and it emboldens RINOs when people are silenced with those kinds of arguments.

I got too worked up and frustrated by this one, I know. It just feels like nothing is ever done, whether we have majority or not.

All good. I tend to defend 'libertarians' because I believe very strongly in minimum (federal) government. Could never call myself a proper capital 'L' libertarian having seen their twitter feed, bunch of fucking retards that lot.

But what is perfectly sane is not wanting the folks of San Francisco or NYC to have any say in how I or my neighbors live our lives.

I certainly understand your exhaustion and frustration, as we can all see by the topics in front page threads, there's no shortage of it here when it comes to our 'justice' system.

We have the broader coalition now of sane patriots that have a lot more in common than we have different, especially compared to the AOCs and Ilhan Omars of the country. We have to remember that at the end of the day we have to welcome sanity and patriotism under our tent, no matter how far apart we may be on other things. It's the only way to stave off the Marxism.
