And then your licenses get suspended, your utilities get shut off, and you get cited and prosecuted.

The answer is to overwhelm your local officials with complaints, protests, and political opposition.

They local petty tyrant is the biggest threat to liberty.

I get that and agree, but the businesses are already shut down. How much would all that really hurt? You still wouldn’t be able to open? The main objective would be to organize it where enough businesses do it at the same time. Then if all of that gets done to thousands of businesses at the same time it gets attention. We need a headline that businesses are re-opening. More would follow.

Big Tech.

It sounds redundant, but they do have very huge influence. That is the reason why they should be first targeted. Its not a factor of people willing to do it, its the fact that these Big Tech companies have nearly 50%-80% influence on most companies that are not locally owned, and out of those owned are not large enough or influential enough to effect the changes at the local level.

Not saying it as an excuse, but that is the reality for most. The ones in Red States though should have much better time at this than blue. Illinois, for example, had the Governor and state Congress pass legislation that makes it so every business in the state has to pay/fined $2,500 for EACH person that enters EVERY TIME. In other words if a person decides to take their mask off meaning that if 300 people do that every week for just 1 month that is over $3 Million. That bankrupts even the Big businesses, but it is specifically designed to target small-medium size businesses. That is the case for Illinois, and it is a weak case in my view but I am not holding against the owners though even if they don't believe in the Covid-19 farce that situation alone will make them do that.

EDIT: Typo

Getting fines on top of having no income would be devastating. The answer is class action lawsuits against state and local government.

13
St1x80 13 points ago +13 / -0

And that’s how they win. Everyone is afraid. I never shut my business down, I still don’t wear masks, and I’m booming.

Tyrannical government employees only have the power we allow them to have. You treat them just like you do bullies. Fight back and don’t cower.

Call it a peaceful protest.

6
weebrian 6 points ago +6 / -0

Exactly. Mass civil disobedience. Local governments do not have the resources to prosecute everyone. If they tried, the optics would be so bad that they would all be sent packing in the next election.

10
Ben45 10 points ago +12 / -2

Who cares if your license get suspended, you get fines, etc. What's the alternative for most of these businesses? To lose their customers and income and hope they have enough in savings to make it until whenever we open up again, even then only to have a fraction of the customers come back?

4
MustBeTrump 4 points ago +6 / -2

You know we've been cucked beyond repair when this kind of comment gets downvoted.

3
Ben45 3 points ago +5 / -2

it's one downvote lol. idk why people here pay so much attention to one downvote

Alright Ben I apologise for bringing attention to the matter.

1
BillionsAndBillions 1 point ago +2 / -1

And if businesses just allow this tyrannical overreach without any push-back, how can any business owner be sure this kind of nonsense shutdown will not happen again next year, or the year after that? How can any business owner operate when the local petty tyrant could shut them down on a whim and all everyone does is cry about what might happen if they don't bow before the tyrants? Who would sink their life savings and hard work into a business that could be taken at any time because of a bad flu season?

trumptrumptrumpy 5 points ago +5 / -0

It really depends on the state you’re in. I think Midwest states are going to lead this, and have already begun. It will force the coastal states to open up by seeing states open and no mass death as well as seeing a mass exodus.

Where I live, there is a massive exodus from liberal states. And I’m actually seeing them all be conservative which is good. As the Midwest states open up, it will set the tone and pave the path.

7
Butthurt 7 points ago +7 / -0

I live in a state that rolled back the opening of businesses, a lot of restaurant owners just said fuck you and are open for business inside and out. Nothing happened to them and people are flocking there. It’s packed. Bars too

I’d say most never stopped outside of the cities and those that did just ignore it now. These “emergency powers by governors and mayors need to be stripped. State legislatures, city councils and court systems need to fight back. I haven’t seen one case of someone’s liberties being upheld in court For defying these “orders and laws”. If you have one please post it.

9
ProdigalPlaneswalker 9 points ago +9 / -0

More and more, it seems city councils are also part of the problem.

I do not understand how they have the power to shut down businesses nationwide and force people to stay at home for several months.

7
BillionsAndBillions 7 points ago +8 / -1

They only have the power we allow them to have. We have allowed it, because we're all scared of getting a bad cold. We still are. You still get looks of abject terror if you show up somewhere without a face diaper

2
daberoniandcheese 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not even a bad cold. My brother had it and ran a 5:20 mile with it. Never even had symptoms.

1
Davdukes4 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, I'm not afraid...and I've been working in the public this entire time (no mask unless in a store that requires it).

Trump said the virus was vicious, and we have to shut it down. He also says wearing masks is patriotic. He has enabled the hype, and controlled it.

I never cared about the picture. The post wasn’t about the picture- it was about wanting AMERICA to do this. We have enough people on TDW to organize a real movement. THIS would be a great peaceful protest. Set a date, everybody get organized and get your friends in on it, and then follow through. That was the point of the post.

10
ShamimaBagel 10 points ago +17 / -7

These are pro-democracy protesters in Belarus. Please stop spreading fake news - that's for Biden supports to do, not us.

For what it's worth, the UK has already managed to successfully re-open pretty much everything, including pubs. Largely because people have been listening to the scientists and following distancing rules.

11
stlstl 11 points ago +11 / -0

How does that work in your mind? Its like they earned immunity or covid saw them being good so it got bored and moved on? Thats not how it works. If covid is still a thing, any relaxing of the rules would immediately lead to new outbreaks and a resurgence of cases. People seem to want to attach all sorts of moral motivations to this virus like it only strikes the wrong and wicked or some shit. If being at the pub 4 months ago was really dangerous, then its still dangerous today. Or maybe it was never dangerous.

4
BillionsAndBillions 4 points ago +6 / -2

The conditioning works.

4
knightofday 4 points ago +4 / -0

You ain’t lying holy crap

1
ShamimaBagel 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because it's not the pub that causes covid, but the number of other people in the pub with covid. By staying at home for months, we went from lots of people having it to not many people having it. Think of it this way - if one in a thousand chicken wings gave you explosive diarrhoea, it's probably a risk worth taking, but if it were one in five, you'd probably give it a miss.

Once you've got the cases down to a reasonable level, there's a balance to be struck. You can re-open stuff and still keep cases down if you take other precautions like partitions between tables. There's still a risk, but it's a very small one because not many people have covid to spread. There's no reason why most of the US can't re-open businesses right now if people take precautions.

Think of it as putting the needs of the country before yourself. It's no coincidence that the only places that have had outbreaks since we eased restrictions are shitholes infested with muslims who've ignored the advice and only care about themselves.

Also that video does not contain the image in the original post.

2
VoodooChild13 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

The point of the post wasn’t Britain, it was about US. I want to see Americans set a date and collectively open everything back up in large enough numbers that nothing can be done to stop us. THAT’s our peaceful protest and the way to end all of this. Open up your business! What are they going to do- shit your business down? Fine you and hurt your business?? Being shut down for a fake pandemic is worse than that.

1

Agreed but I wanted to know what I was looking at in your OP and I am still not sure if I do.

I’m glad to hear he’s well and that you had a chance to open the Bible today😊❤️ I just started Ecclesiastes. I always love Solomon’s wisdoms. It puts things in good perspective, although he’s much more cynical in Ecclesiastes than he is in Proverbs. And, on that same note, your dad being okay puts things in good perspective, too. I’m glad you got good news during crazy times. Have a blessed rest of your day!

LOL pepes tried that in MN low and behold got threatened to have their business license revoked unless they comply. Only way this works is an actual rebellion against the state government to remove the Leadership.

4
JuicyfearsMAGA 4 points ago +4 / -0

The secret is, a business shouldn't need a licence from the government to operate, nor their consent.

3
Butthurt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Life liberty and pursuit of happiness. Those are inalienable rights. It’s a violation of the god given rights of the people to require the government’s approval before starting a business. It’s basic as hell and somehow people roll with it.

1
mnguy12000 1 point ago +1 / -0

yep, after watching Kitchen Nightmares, how the F did those businesses stay in business!

0
BillionsAndBillions 0 points ago +1 / -1

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness... as long as you have all the approved licenses and paperwork, and our annual permission in writing. Now pay me taxes, peasants.

2
JuicyfearsMAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

How else would corrupt govornment officials pick winners and losers!! That's the role of the government, right?

1
VoodooChild13 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh, no! License revoked?? Who cares?-They already aren’t allowed to be open for business! That’s exactly why the fight is worth it. That is why we need organization. We need to set a date, everybody and their friends get in on it, and then follow through on it. Power in numbers!🇺🇸

2
DonttrustChina 2 points ago +3 / -1

The problem is that takes numbers, the only way it works is if too many people do it to punish. And big tech makes sure we can't organize.

1
VoodooChild13 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

We have TDW. I’ve been calling for organization for months on here. We have plenty people in every corner of society on here to start a real movement. We just have to organize.

2
polk_high_4_td 2 points ago +2 / -0

They needed to break into the government buildings and physically remove the officials that are destroying their lives. Get those crooks out is the only way. There is no way they could be arrested or stopped. That was their chance.

2
keyboardwarrior1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’m thinking about putting up a webpage for this with a countdown, if everybody opens will they really fine everybody? What date do you all think would be appropriate to open up? Businesses need time to get ready, can’t just be Labor Day imo

1
VoodooChild13 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was thinking the exact same thing. It would have to be a day people remember with enough time to organize and get everybody TDW and their friends elsewhere in on it.

2
Pelosi_Halitosis 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oi! You gotta loisense fur dat mask?

2
Gravity 2 points ago +2 / -0

Looking forward, we need to examine the laws that give these local authorities the power to close down businesses. We need to elect officials willing to work to repeal/amend these laws. I think that is the long win.

I think we need to start encouraging and celebrating daily acts of disobedience. Go walking with your mask off, invite your neighbor over for some BBQ, play soccer with your buds. I think there are ways we can start to break the conditioning without Making ourselves an Easy target.

1
VoodooChild13 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

No one is an easy target if we can get enough people to join- but we need planning! We’d have to have a date set for everyone to go back to life as usual. Power in numbers. They can’t punish everyone.

1
Spawnlingman 1 point ago +1 / -0

I went into a home-goods yesterday. A young lady followed me and my wife in. She wasn't wearing a mask. The employee at the door said "Good morning ma'am, do you have your mask with you today?"

"No"

"Can I offer you one?"

"No you may not"

The employee walked off to talk to the manager at the registers. He shrugged and walked off to his office and they couldn't do anything about it. She walked around the store shopping for 30 minutes and left.

They can't do anything I guess!

1
MrsSenator 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is exactly what my family does. I have shopped at plenty of places with "mask required" signs and no one says a thing. Have never worn a mask since this started and both the state and county mandated it.

I have walked by plenty of cops and masked people and have never been yelled at or given dirty looks. No one wants to confront someone who walks around with a smile and good energy.

I've only been asked about a mask once and just said "No thanks" and kept on shopping. No big deal.

Our local news just released an article about the amount of complaints to the county health department and they straight up stated they are not allowed to pull any business licenses. The best they can do is "educate" them.

The whole scam really just relies on people blindly complying.

1
VoodooChild13 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

And, hell- if these masks are so fool-proof, other people can wear them and be protected if we decide not to. And if people are mad at is for not wearing masks, they can stay away from us. I want the mask Nazis to stay away from me anyway.

1
VoodooChild13 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I know, but the point wasn’t this picture- it was a post about America! I don’t care what Britain is doing. I want US to do this! We can do it. We just need to set a date and organize to all open at the same time (or enough of us to have protection in numbers).
