I'd love to see a video of a rioter trying to kick away a smoke grenade and have it stick to their foot. Then they'd be running back to their people carrying it with them like some kind of Benny Hill skit.
Of course they may just as well run towards the police...
I'm thinking sticky grenades are not a great idea. Just a funny idea in theory.
these only stick so they can pull them off, the action of picking them up or trying to remove them one they land from the initial throw will set them off in place where they landed. If someone kicks on it will just shatter, the shape makes the string to land nose first, but a hit to the sides would shatter this.

As long as the gas deploys if shattered.
