I think if you plan on rolling in to NYC (I don't know why, there are no Broadway shows, and most of the other tourist stuff is closed), I suggest rolling in with technicals. It's the only way to even have a chance with Walking Dead style rioters everywhere.
Not really. These are idiot opportunists. If armed people went in there and started wrecking shit, they would scream and run for their lives. They don't have a cause, or leaders, or discipline.

And as shitty as this "anarchy" (really, sanctioned by the local gov and probably funded by them and special interest grousp) is, it's actually way better than most alternatives I can think of to wake people up.
