I'm just shaking my head at this whole thing. This whole thing is stupid and hubris like this is what leads to things like the Reign of Terror. Sometimes it's better just to take your licks, but no...the serf must be punished for daring to hitting a jab against the ruling class.

I bet the same “liberals” cheering Pelosi on today for attacking a hard working salon owner will start their REEEEE Naziii literally HiTLeR if Trump lawyers send notices to all those constantly lying about him, like the fake news media, CNN/NYT/WAPO journalists, it won’t take them long to cry suppression of freedom

Why just yesterday a clown representing the fake news media lied that the president had mini strokes

Such unashamed hypocrites

FuckChinaRaw 26 points ago +26 / -0

This whole "it was a setup" line is insane. She had to know what the rules are. If she legitimately didn't know the regulations for San Francisco, she is incompetent.

It's the same as if she stole a bait car and then she said that she was set up.

18
BurgerChef90 18 points ago +18 / -0

Plus the salon owner said on Tucker last night that someone from Nancy’s office called and scheduled the appointment, so no way it could have been a set up.

They break the rules, and the laws and when caught, they blame someone else. Typical of these people

Just like my mother, this salon owner has been irresponsible too.

That’ll help this fade out of the news cycle. Attempt to destroy the salon owner, and she’ll be a permanent fixture on Fox News.

People who change their twitter/internet profile pictures to ones with them a mask are such transparent virtue signalers it's hilarious. I'm sure the vast majority of people with those pics DON'T wear masks in public most of the time.

Whenever I see someone with a mask profile pic I automatically know they are unhinged from reality and wont take a thing they say serious. Its kind of a good thing. Biden has one

How easy (and lauded by the msm) it would have been to just say

but no, that's not in her dna

Step 2: Shorten name to “BLM Defense Fund.” Post link.

Step 3: Close out account next day with $1M.

The letter didn't threaten action. That said, I understand the inherent threat. For now they are saying the stylist is lawyered-up and picking sides.
Apparently the owner is moving to TN, is a based patriot, and has some rich frens. She knows what she is doing. Hope this doesn't get too ugly for her.

16
Bogey 16 points ago +16 / -0

Pelosi's argument is the salon was violating the law so she shouldn't be called a hypocrite.

Helluva argument, Nancy.

4
CmonPeopleGetReal 4 points ago +4 / -0

Which just goes to prove what a farce these shutdowns are anyway.

And let's be fucking honest, if it comes down to feeding your family, or breaking some bullshit law, which are you gonna choose?

So, just out of curiosity, how did the appointment get made?

Did someone from the salon sneak it into her schedule?

Or did she call to make an appointment and then go there voluntarily to have someone style her hair as requested by her?

Some setup.

10
Nellie_the_Beaut 10 points ago +11 / -1

Apparently, one of the male stylists who rents a chair in her salon has the keys and took the appt w/Nancy when her personal assistant called him. Didn’t tell the owner about it and just let her in and did her hair. Owner found out from security video and was livid as the salon has been forcibly shut down for 5 months due to Newsom’s orders and she herself hasn’t been able to work in her own salon. She was also at the point of having to close down the salon due to no work.

It’s strange that no one has identified or interviewed the hair stylist about this whole fiasco. How does he know Pelosi? How much was he paid to illegally sneak her into the closed salon? Pelosi claims that she just got a shampoo and blow dry but looks like she also got a dye job and cut (not allowed by salons at all during quarantine). I think she did get advanced services like coloring because otherwise she would have just had him come to her house for a blow dry and style. And her hair looks very dark and freshly dyed in the video.

8
FirstGenImmigrant 8 points ago +8 / -0

This isn't true. He did tell the owner about it before it happened, as confirmed by the owner.

7
Nellie_the_Beaut 7 points ago +7 / -0

Then the owner needs to explain why she didn’t stop him from letting her into the salon. She was obviously really angry about it - enough to share the security video with news outlets. She took a huge risk by coming out with this info on Pelosi breaking the shutdown mandate.

This is GREAT! Let's stick with that. And "fiery but mostly peaceful" protests.

Giving them enough rope to hang themselves

7
Scroon 7 points ago +7 / -0

The explanation was that the stylist is renting the station in the salon, so it's not the owner's decision to allow or disallow entry.

3
Gingersmom2009 3 points ago +4 / -1

If the other part of the letter is true -- that they've been scheduling solo appointments, no matter how few, even the owner herself . . . then Pelosi is just another solo appointment. Especially if she has been there before. And I despise Pelosi.

4
CuomoisaMassMurderer 4 points ago +4 / -0

"Just another appointment." No, you don't get to say one thing and do another when you're a public Official.

3
CmonPeopleGetReal 3 points ago +3 / -0

With all salon's basically closed for almost 6 months how do you think everyone has been getting their hair cut?

Hint, stylists are choosing to break the rules rather than starve.

The issue here is how Pelosi takes a public stance that everything need to be closed, and how dangerous it is, until it inconveniences her, at which point the rules don't apply.

2
HuggableBear 2 points ago +3 / -1

It’s strange that no one has identified or interviewed the hair stylist about this whole fiasco.

I don't disagree with you in general, but this entire thread exists because a lawyer talked to the stylist and his story doesn't match up with hers. Read the post.

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Srylist's version of facts disagrees with Pelosi's?

3
HuggableBear 3 points ago +4 / -1

There are three parties: Pelosi, the stylist, and the owner.

Pelosi says she was set up.

Owner says she found out Pelosi came to the salon to get her hair did and got super pissed and checked the video.

Stylist says Pelosi requested the appointment but he approved it with the Owner before he agreed to the session and that the owner knew it was Pelosi coming.

Frankly I believe the Stylist because it makes both the owner and Pelosi look like petty assholes, which is the general state of most of humanity.

Pelosi is a shitbird for wanting everything shut down, she's deflecting the blame onto the Governor (Her own fucking nephew) and the mayor as if she didn't wholeheartedly approve of every move they made, but the owner is probably also kind of a shitbird for agreeing to take Pelosi just so she could get pictures of her breaking her own rules when she could have just told her to pound sand.

If this were a different situation I wouldn't be supporting either of them, but I'm firmly on the owner's side here because she was given an opportunity to expose government hypocrisy and she took it. She didn't force Pelosi into anything, nor did she trap her, she just said "Yep, take the appointment" and videoed what happened.

She's a whistleblower.

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'll agree with all that. Although it's possible the owner actually didn't know beforehand, but that's completely irrelevant at this point. At first I was thinking Pelosi had a point that she didn't personally impose the lockdown / shutdown, but that point is also irrelevant as you state very well.

Pelosi's a tyrant! I think the Governors are more vulnerable and exposed, both to lawsuits as well as citizen's arrest. But Pelosi is by no means innocent in ANY of it, and her being caught in this one snafu should be played for all it's worth in the struggle to reduce tyranny.

God help us all ...

8
BrewSwillis 8 points ago +8 / -0

So, their official statement is, that the Speaker of the House, 3rd in line to the presidency, got tricked into breaking the rules to get her hair done? And that it's not her fault, because the salon owner is a conservative who has been illegally doing hair during the lockdown?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆🤣🥴🤣🤣🤡🌎🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆😄

  1. Was the salon owner really violating the shutdown order? Don't put it past Lying Nancy's daughter to lie as well. Claims of evidence are not evidence. Don't trust the bitch.

  2. Even if the salon owner were violating the order, that does not suddenly make it OK for the official maintaining the order to violate it. It's like a preacher getting caught with a gay prostitute and then blaming the prostitute for running his illegal prostitute business. Vile stuff.

How can the owner that hasn’t been open for 6 months and loosing her business afford to sue?

6
Pukeahontas [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Find a lawyer who will work on contingency. The owner already had a gofundme and raised like atleast 100k afaik. Nancy's statement triggered trolls who have totally trashed the salon's Yelp page with fake reviews and even given the owner threats. There is clear cause for damages, if the owner is willing to battle it out. Considering the public shitstorm its possible Nancy may be asked by her advisors to just settle it.

2

Nancy Pelosi being set up because she got caught getting her roots fixed when she shouldn't have.... she takes responsibility but expects an apology from the salon.

Trump gets setup with a fake dossier and fake Russian collusion... Pelosi thinks Trump should be impeached.

It's just par for the course...

1
Gmama2 1 point ago +1 / -0

However, Nasty got her hair blown dry which is against the law. Nancy can ruin someone, so requesting an illegal service was improper, it would have been my assumption of I refused she would get the salon shut down.

Casey's assistant made the arrangements, is this an assistant paid with our tax dollars???

NOT sticking up for Pelosi. But this doesn't pass the small test. If the stylist is telling the truth and she ultimately ok'd the appointment . . she needs to sit down and be quiet.

3
Pukeahontas [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Salon owner oking the appointment doesnt absolve Nancy of violating shutdown/mask mandate as well as her comments that it was "set up" - comments which led to trolls attacking the owner's Yelp page and threatening her. Salon owner will be in shit for operating the store ignoring the shutdown mandate. But she also has a cause for damages to be recovered from Nancy's comment that it was "set up"

0
Gingersmom2009 0 points ago +1 / -1

Like I said in another comment, if the second part of the letter is true - and they have been doing "solo" appointments, no matter the number, and the owner herself has done it . . . then Pelosi is just another solo appointment. If doing solo appointments is violating a mandate, that's another story. Similar to gyms being closed in NJ (up until 9/1) - you could schedule a solo training session, but the gym itself was closed.

1
Pukeahontas [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Imo, even if the owner has done solo appointments, thats a separate issue involving the salon business and the local salon regulator, and Pelosi blaming the salon owner for the "setup" resulting in the hate and negative reviews she got is another issue.

The first issue, the owner violating local laws likely gets a fine or worse has to close the salon down. The second issue Pelosi has defamed and lied about being "setup" and damaged the reputation of the salon and the owner. Damages arise here.

At this point it all comes down to whether the owner really wants to pursue this. I wont be surprised if she doesnt - not many people have the willpower and money to take on someone like Pelosi, who lets face it is much more influential than the salon owner

-9
RightIsMight -9 points ago +4 / -13

This salon owner is fucked.

17
Pukeahontas [S] 17 points ago +17 / -0

Maybe if she doesn’t do anything. She has a strong case for damages caused to her business by Pelosi’s lies

2
deleted 2 points ago +3 / -1
4
Pukeahontas [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

If the salon owner sues Nancy, she does have a case because its Nancy's actions and statements that caused all the Nancy following trolls to leave negative fake reviews on yelp, threaten the salon owner etc. Even if she doesnt get any damage relief, it would just be embarrassing for Nancy as she is clearly in the wrong atleast in the public eye for violating both shutdown as well as mask mandates. There is no evidence to suggest this is a "set up", the owner is just airing out grievances about how influential people are able to flout laws while her salon was shut to the public for a long time.

For the owner, operating against the shutdown would mean regulatory fines or closing down her shop and that could be adjusted against a possible settlement by Nancy, as its against Nancy's interest to let this play out any further in the public.

However given the difference in influence between both I wont be surprised if the owner decides to drop everything and just move out of SF, not many can go head to head with someone as vicious as Nancy who also happens to have a lot of power
