Homeless can set up wherever they wish. Police got tired of fighting with em. I live in Eugene, last time I went to Arbys I drove past at least 3 homeless camps sprawling half a block with, maybe, 15-20 people per camp? And that's the outskirts of the city.

LOL I drove by a homeless camp in February. They had posted signs on their tents saying “please keep 6 feet distance from us”

Not even joking

LOL yeah. And I lived out near Hillsboro. The max carries them all over. They throw shit, scream at you, chase cars and no one cares! Nothing is done about it

Oh god. I remember my first "Encounter of the Tweak Kind". Me and my dad going out to grab some food at a store no more than a block or two down, so why not walk, right? Big. Biiiig mistake. We got over to Monroe Park and all of a sudden this tweak just flips. "HEY! HEY YOU! YOU! FUCK YOU! YEAH. YOU! FUCK YOU! PIECE OF SHIT! FUCK YOU!" I don't know what drugs she was on, but she was just unloading on people walking by.

Funny to laugh at afterwards. Interesting city. 10/10, would not recommend.

When I went to Eugene, I was blown away by how people were set up in the parking lot at the Target.

Didn’t see any of that in the surrounding conservative places.

Oh god yeah. The people here are well meaning, but.. not very bright. It's like that South Park episode where they accidentally turned the town in to a homeless camp. Except, they never woke up and figured out if we keep giving these people money, we will turn our town in to a homeless mecca. So.. they just keep giving more and more..

I got the feeling they were well meaning too.

But seeing all the BLM signs and the boarded up store fronts with signs that say “WE STILL SUPPORT BLM!!” Was just pathetic. I saw three black people in a week there: Two homeless dudes and I looked in a mirror at least twice a day.

Sad I didn’t get a chance to be terrified by the wild turkeys tho 😢

Oh they'll attack you. Best place to get attacked by turkeys is South Eugene, up in the hills and suburbs. Whole flocks of em will block the road up there.

Also, you seem to know more about our downtown situation than I do. I haven't been down there since covid and the riots broke out. I imagine a good half of those "We still support BLM!" signs are people hoping their shop won't be 'the one' that gets torched. Surprise, surprise. That does nooooothing.

This is happening in every neighborhood of Minneapolis now. The city opened up city parks to be used as encampments and now neighborhoods are overrun with these people, many of whom are violent and deranged.

Bruh, complete displacement of normalcy.
