Residents of Portland are proud of the rioting. Have you seen a single resident of Portland saying they want the rioting to end? They re-elected Ted Wheeler while there was still regular antifa rioting. Portland has been rioting since 2015 and the prosecuted all the Proud Boys, Patriot Prayer and even threw Michael Strickland in the slammer on many bogus felonies and haven't done anything to antifa or BLM. The residents of Portland are getting exactly what they voted for and what they want. The residents of Portland are not hostages that don't want to live like this....they are proud of it and they think it's funny.
half my relatives/friends live in portland proper, and go to churches there. NO ONE IS LIKING THIS.
I have two nieces in Portland and both of them laugh about it and think it's great.

I've been to visit their churches, and they have stories, so I know up in church, there's always a few liberals, but not many. But I've been to visit some of the bigger inner city churches, and some of them are LIBZONE all the way. I think it just has to do with A) are you native and B) do you live right near downtown.

I knew it. Was going to say it but what good does it do. But you brought it up, so I'll say again . . . same here in CA. RIGGED. We vote Red, they tell us a week later the Dem candidate no one ever heard of before, has miraculously won -- after they counted all the mail in (harvested) votes. This was just one instance - in a district that had NEVER BEFORE been anything but Republican. Suddenly, we lose all these House reps, they flip the House and impeach POTUS. There are no coincidences. And then Pelosi, just a day before 2018 election, said "she hadn't been positive, but now she was 'sure' they would take the House". There is only ONE WAY she could have been that sure.
Yep! And recently Kate Brown says the recall efforts that we KNOW had enough signatures, unfortunately doesn’t have enough signatures. It got thrown out. This is the 2nd time.

Most non-liberal residents are afraid to say they want it to end. But yes, I have heard Portland residents say that. In private. A good friend of mine who lives in the nicer area of Portland is sick of it. He wants to move but his ex-wife is fighting him on it, he had custody (now there's a story)(not telling it here), and she doesn't want to have to travel to see the kid. His hands are tied by the family court.

Well, I don't know everything about Portland but I do about Minneapolis. I'm telling you right now, there may be a few conservatives in Minneapolis but by and large, everyone in Minneapolis love BLM and Antifa. The commies are definitely winning in Minneapolis and that's why I got the flip out of there. I moved out almost a year ago.

Two things:
Portland got fucked when they introduced mail-in ballots and the Dems cheated their way into overpowering any other political party here. That, and that stupid Portlandia caused progressives from all over the country to move here and do this shit.
I remember back in the early 90s I covered two of Bush Sr's visits here for my video class at school. I noticed both times the stupid liberal protests would start to faze out, then a group of young dudes dressed all in black (anarchists, who changed their name to antifa a few years ago but didn't change anything else) would come in and start shit. The "peaceful protesters" wouldn't try to stop them from doing shit like throwing m-80s onto Interstate 5, but they would bitch and moan if the police rightfully stopped them and beat their asses. They've been using the left for decades to cover for them so they can just cause chaos. Also, prior to this year, the anarchists would have a "parade" every May Day where they would throw bricks through windows and cause destruction. Portland has had decades to flush these assholes out and never even tried.
That's interesting and I believe both your points are true. My two crazy commie nieces both moved to Portland to "retire" in their twenties". It was actually in their thirties but they never grew up.
You don't really prove his point wrong, especially when you say "one of the few that joined". Obviously, I wouldn't expect huge turn-outs to such groups, but just pointing out how it doesn't lend credence to your argument against his.
I'm sure the majority of Portland residents hate it and want it to stop. But the wealthy liberals and leftists are the ones sharing their voice, and that voice is "everything is great, we love this, look at how nice my park is there's nothing bad going on here."
I have a HUGE problem whenever people here say "fuck the city of _____ they deserve what they get" because none of these shitholes (Portland included) is 100% liberal. The thinking is us conservatives should flee these cities and let them win. Oregon is a red state but Portland overwrites the votes of the rest of this huge state and that has to change too.
Don't abandon the shitholes, they are still American cities and we should never give in to this, we should always fight.
What do you think Kimberly Klacik is trying to do? She's saying cities can't function when they are too liberal for too long and people are dying and suffering as a result. You can say "Fuck Baltimore" but thank God she isn't.
It would be a MAJOR help to these places if we could completely do away with mail-in voting.
