one time when i went there, there was a naked man on the side walk on all fours crawling towards this woman quietly waiting for a bus. I dont believe portland is so 'popular' its only popular to super liberal individuals. If you ever go through there, there's hardly any 'normal' people there, aka non bums, hippies, liberal losers etc. But then again portland does have that saying 'keep portland weird'... and that's defiantly true. I really dont think portland is trendy either, what they do there isnt trendy, because if it was portland would be everywhere. But instead, only the freaks go there, like some liberal bat signal up in the air. Portland/seattle/sanfransico are where the liberals go, and they're the cities with the most trash on the streets, shit etc. Lots of people live in rual areas, but they dont seem 'trendy' but maybe thats cause no one from the cities goes out there to see the trends. And anyways more people now are moving to rural areas, to get out of portland/seattle/california/nyc etc.
