I live in a "small town" and we still had BLM "protests". 90% of the people were white. The first time they threw rocks and water bottles at police and they declared a riot and sent a hundred police with riot gear and cleaned them out. Raccoons get chicken s too
A raccoon slaughtered my entire flock of chickens a couple months ago. Didn't even eat em. I bought a new flock and they're doing okay now.
If you have a good rooster or 2 it helps with the predation.
Just make sure they are tolerant of people. Roosters are assholes.
When I was a kid my parents had a rooster and it would attack me constantly. It would jump up and attack me with it's talons, meanest bird ever.
