What are some alternatives until you can get a gun off a commie or a fren? E.g. crossbow, flare gun (just how lethal?), bow, 50 cal air rifle, slingshot.
Get one of the common varieties like a Mossberg (12ga) and then get a 24” barrel for birds, a rifled barrel for slugs (deer/hogs out to 70yds) and a 20” barrel for home defense.
100rds of birdshot will run you just under $20
Get a few boxes of 00 buckshot for home and hogs, and get a few boxes of slugs

Although for some reason a Mossberg 590A1 specifically will cost you a grand right now.

I'm eyeballing the Hatsan Blitz 30 cal air rifle. Looks to be really accurate, shoots pellets at 730fps, and dat select fire....🥰
Ammo for AK47's is still reasonable and available.
