What the fuck? It says I'm unregistered now. I just voted in the primaries a few months ago.

Edit: Called the county office and they said there was a random space put in my last name. They also said that there wasn't a way to opt out of the mail-in ballots. Newsom signed an EO that says even if you're voting in person, everyone gets a mail-in ballot. In order to vote in person you MUST bring your mail-in ballot with you!!! Otherwise you have to vote provisionally.

I got a provisional ballot in CA every year, excepting the first time I voted at 18.
One year I get married to my military husband who decides to stay in CA to be with me.
Tell my husband I'll probably have another "error" and have to vote provisionally again.
It happens.
To both of us.
I joke to him that it's because we're registered Republicans.
He looks serious.
Changes to a registered Democrat.
Next election comes, he discovers he can vote normally.
I kick myself as I turn in my provisional ballot.
We both leave California with our family.

Yup, Newsom EO makes it so everyone in CA gets mail-in ballot. I tried two separate times to change it to in-person. Nothing fishy going on in CA /s
