As an enlightened centrist(tm), I will be (again) voting R all the way b/c the Overton Window has been shoved so far over to the left, It's falling off the damn building.
As I said in 2018, at this point, even voting for a "moderate" Democrat is like giving "just a lite beer" to an alcoholic. The Left is addicted to power, they literally say crap like "if we don't win, that means the system is broken.", and just like a junkie, they fly into a violent rage when they can't get their fix.
It's incumbent on all of us to take away their drug until they go cold turkey for a good long while and do some serious introspection on their life choices.

I would say the better thing to do is the opposite. On the rare off-chance that they bring up something that's true, acknowledge it and use that as a convo hook to bring them back to reality.

Reply: "Wow, that's horrible! Say, where is all this happening at? We should hold these mayors and their party accountable."
Leftist: "look at all these cases of trans ppl being murdered!"
Reply: "Wow, that's horrible! Say, who's doing the killing?"
Leftist: "look at all these cases of sexual predators #MeToo brought to light"
Reply: "Wow, that's horrible! Say, (((who's))) sexually victimizing all these women?"
