Discord isn't related to, connected to, or invested in by Alphabet, unless it's silently through other entities. The most concerning investor in Discord is TenCent, ie. China. (Alphabet's investment division is called CapitalG, and they have no money in Discord)

Discord is it's own problem, they're quickly adopting the SJW model. They've, I've noticed, clamp down hard on anything non-gaming.
