I disagree. I think culture is a reflection of upbringing, which can create a negative feedback loop when the foundations of your life fall apart. A black child who is raised in a suburban neighborhood with a two family loving and supportive household will be substantially different from a black child raised by a single mother riding the welfare train with 6 other kids in a high crime area.

I know too many smart well adjusted, well raised people of all ethnicities to believe that they're genetically destined to somehow be inferior. And I think that's a dangerous mindset to have, to think that you're inherently superior to them because of your "genetics."

You don't know how averages work. Nigerian Americans earn even more than whites. Why? It's because only the top 1% of Nigerians can immigrate to America. There are successful people in every race. It's just that there are less successful people in Liberia compared to Japan.

As to your second point. So you're saying that culture causes poverty in the black American community. Can you explain why almost all of the poorest countries in the world are located in Africa? Is that just a coincidence?
