she was fine a couple weeks ago. she came down with some kind of, we thought food poisoning or stomach virus. after a few days of not getting better we took her to an er. she was treated for dehydration and had some tests run. nothing conclusive. she came home and was improved for a day or two then slipped back into poor condition. she has been in the hospital since monday and after many tests the doctors have no idea what is causing her to fail. she is now in icu and on life support and running out of time. its frustrating and unbearable
please send a few good thoughts her way if you can

She could have had a perforated appendix; I had something like a stomach virus too, got tested and they gave me some meds and send me home. A few days later it got worse and I came back, this time they tested more and concluded that it was a perforated appendix. If your family and doctors have not considered that possibility, might pay to check for it. Anyway, good luck to you and your mom!
Same as this Pede, please let me know what I can do if anything. Meals are a huge help at a time like this. And, thoughts and prayers are already en route!!

My mom recently went through a similar experience, turned out to be pancreatitis caused by the combination of meds they gave her. They took her off one of her GI meds & she is much better now. Hope your mom gets better soon, our prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear that. My son just got out of the hospital last week under similar circumstances. Light fever and it would break, then 10 hours later it’s back. Then vomiting started and they admitted him. They still dont know what he had. He cleared it thankfully. Praying for your mom to do the same.
