At the same time him being killed makes him a martyr to these people which means we'll hear his name chanted as they burn businesses down or attack police. On a side note I find the "I had no choice" defense of shooting someone as they walked down the street so absurd it would be comical under less dire circumstances.

"I did it to save a POC!" is about as close as a "non-POC" useful idiot can get to the standard black defense of claiming someone called them a slur.
It is beyond absurd; it is a completely disgusting defense. "I was confident I did not hit anyone innocent, and I made my exit."
He is literally admitting that he killed him because he saw that they were right-wing and thought "ohh, that means that they're automatically guilty of SOME crime, so I can kill them." He has no remorse and admits that his motivation was entirely political.
