The term 'found guilty' normally implies some sort of punishment

Sorry -

There are 2 sets of LAWS in the US....

One for Government

and one for everyone else.

Heh. And now lately, there is very clearly two classes in the 'everyone else'group.

Technically it was the "program" that was found to be illegal

Since it's being run by AI/Software and the Algorithm is technically the guilty party, then no one human person is guilty;.

See how that works?

Now extrapolate that for CORPORATIONS generally

Brennan/Clapper Lied to Congress

Not so sure

He said "Not knowingly". it's really greasy, but technical

the 'knowing' part would be he knew he was running the program

But did not knowingly spy as in human looked at human record illegally

in other words, the PROGRAM / Algorithms that was the guilty party...IT spied on people, not human persons

See how these legalistic farggots get away with stuff

Can someone please explain how in the hell

  • the people who developed those algorithms

  • the people who ordered those people to do so

  • the people responsible for keeping the algorithms running

Aren’t the guilty party? By this logic Marvin Heemeyer needs to be posthumously exonerated. After all, the bulldozer he built was doing the property damage, not him, even though he designed, built, and operated the thing

Snowden has been vindicated.

Oh good, now we can move on. Nothing will come of this.

2
ghost_of_aswartz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes it will

Snowden will be pardoned by Trump

And then Assange will be pardoned by Trump

Then they will make their algorithms spy on americans 10x more

And hide the fact they do 100x more

Hardly. They’ve spied on millions of Americans for years, the very public ones we know of are a drop in a very large bucket.

I feel like this may be leading to a snowden pardon. Or atleast some sort of leaniency toward a trial. If deep state don't knock him off before he can get a trial.
