LetGo/OfferUp are filled with fraudulent posts. You'll see all kinds of great deals on vehicles, boats, and other things. I followed through with one of them to see what their scam is and confirmed it's a scam designed to steal your money.
I even submitted a tip to the FBI page. Nothing has ever been done and these posts are rampant.
I wouldn't be surprised if the FBI/CIA were in on the scams. Make some easy money like they do with the drug trade.

Never buy an expensive item on there or craigslist. Nothing over $250 is my rule for Craigslist. For LetGo my limit is $75. Never buy something that there isn’t a counterfeit market for. Bring a friend when you pick up and preferably a gun where legal.

There is more to it than just not getting mugged or killed. There are a TON of people that use those sites for scams. I buy a lot of guitars off there and you really have to know what you are doing when it comes to the higher end stuff. That’s why I set a $300 limit.

I grew up in a place steeped in this, Commiefornia. I can say easily, looking back, 99% of these kids grew up in a home with very little involvement from their parents. Gen X wanted to pop em out, but sure af didn't want to raise em. Dumped em on the schools, so the kids gravitated towards gangs. They never did figure it out, the schools are not there to raise your kids for you. That will mess them up.
