District Admin here. Can confirm. It’s because they come out of college, never having punched a clock in their entire lives, and walk right into a union stronghold. The union applauds their activism during college, then encourages it on and off work hours, unlike any other job. The louder the young ones are, the more it wears down the board, and the more raises the older teachers on the negotiations team get to negotiate for themselves at the higher end of the pay scale.
The were EDUCATED to believe, in all sincerity, that they have the RIGHT to protest anywhere for anything irrespective of the impact on society. Fuck their teachers. To hell with the whole god-damned lot of them, and the sooner the better.
They just as sincerely believe they have the right to resist arrest, too, and don't have to do anything anyone tells them - not a parent, not a teacher, not a coach, not a cop, nobody.
All of those people are simply there to be used if and when these fools want something.They're just servants and have zero authority as far as these people are concerned. That's why they'll scream for the cops to help THEM when somebody finally hits back, and see nothing strange about that.
And I'm noticing the cops letting them get away with more and more the longer this goes on, its going to get way worse if they keep letting them be the ones in charge.
I remember when they started throwing water on the cops in NY. The cops walked away like a dog with their tail between their legs. No arrests. The disrespect festered and the dindu nuthins were emboldened. This type of behavior needs to be nipped in the bud. (i.e. temper tantrums dealt with at a young age.) I remember when I used to say that if you don't discipline your child the cops will do it for you. I didn't take into account renegade lawmakers who would neuter cops and practically render them defenseless.
How can we win when the police are expected to oil up and wrestle every suspect into submission? The risk of harm to themselves or bad press is too great. We need some Star Trek phasers set to stun asap.
If the dumb-fuck politicians would have let Law Enforcement do their job from the get go, they would never have developed this damn sense of entitlement. They would have known from the beginning about FAFO.
