I agree. It makes me angry almost beyond reason...
Like when children agitate others and then try to bait them into reacting so that they'll get in trouble instead of the actual bullies. "I'M NOT TOUCHING YOUUUUU," they'll wail at max volume two inches from somebody's face with their hands hovering around them.
Made me want to kick their smug faces in in third grade and it makes me want to do the same 20 years later now that we are all grown up. This is why we shouldn't have "time out," and should instead have "fuck around, find out" on the playground.
I swear this whole generation was fucked over by the "but fighting back is just as bad as starting it" ideology we had to deal with growing up. The good kids just took it on the chin until graduation and got jobs, etc, while the shitheads never learned that someday, somebody will actually fight back against their insanity.
Could have solved this cultural issue with a few bruises 20 years ago, but now they are gonna force real violence upon themselves and their communities because they believe they are untouchable.
Not to be "dang boomers" because it's such a cliche, but seriously - eff that entire generation of parents that couldn't be bothered to take up the mantle of being strong men and women and making the sacrifices and taking the tough stands that it takes to be a good parent.
I am all about personal responsibility but it's difficult to not also hold the parents culpable for this whole clown world we find ourselves in.
I'm not saying all boomers are bad, that's as much a fallacy as saying all millenials are bad - I'm saying there was a huge influx of denial of personal responsibility that was endemic in an entire generation. I will fault any person who is able to know better and either i) does evil or ii) does nothing and allows evil to flourish. While there were surely bad parents for time immemorial, there was a culture shift that is really rearing its ugly head now that the children of that movement are in a position to effect change. Hopefully messages like those of Peterson make inroads into all of our lives and we continuously work to better ourselves, our families, and all of those around us.

If you hold the boomers accountable for their kids actions, why do the Boomer generation's parents get a pass?
Anyone over 30 is a boomer to these kids but some of the best people I know are legit boomers.
Donald Trump is a boomer, for what it's worth.
