The Vice interview was not for us, he was directing that at his kids, since they will believe what dad said over the "evil cops" official story, and its why the awkward "of color" afterthought, he wants his kids to think he died for the "righteous cause" he was no doubt preaching to them all day every day. Mike himself knew he fucked up big time and the video evidence is pretty conclusive. On a side note, my heart does break for his daughter, from the little info we have he took her street racing, rioting etc, and while that wont win him father of the year award, they did spend quality time together, and by the way she looks at him in the interview video you can clearly see she adores him.
