My aunt infuriates me!!! She sends stupid articles twisting what Trump says and says it's indefensible. And she wonders how such a smart girl could believe him. And when I answer and send sources she asks me to stop sending propaganda and then has to get one more anti-Trump dig in there. Oh nooo but she wants to disengage.
I seriously almost sent her something I would regret.... I'm coming here instead. To just rant.
What I do with my liberal relatives is this:
I gather random memes from here, like Big Mike, or just logical fallacies of the left and I text only those with no explanation.
Then as the relative loses it on me, I send pics of the most annoying Trump smile pic I can find.
When they lose it, I send Trump standing on a tank gif and mine salt.

I see these types of stories so often; and I wish people would realize: LIBERALS DO NOT ACT IN GOOD FAITH! They engage with you not because they want to have a fair, logical debate. No, they engage because they want to put you into the kind of stressed out state that they are in. In other words, they're just looking for DRAMA. If you absolutely must engage; do it lightheartedly. it's best to keep it civil, and keep some distance if she can't help but be rude. I have friends and family that are political opposite, we just don't bring the stuff up and get along fine.
I'm sorry it's so hard. I have some people like that whom I dearly love but they threaten to not love me if I support Trump.
