Absolutely true. Even countries in southern Europe like Italy, while having beautiful historic monuments etc. are fucking filthy, and ripe with corruption as well as fucking dangerous in many places (Naples is the 3rd biggest Italian city and completely infested with crime on every level)
Same goes for many eastern European countries: Romania & Bulgaria for example are so close to Germany but you'd think they are on another continent.
And these are just European examples. Africa and the middle east are on a whole other level. You cant imagine the daily life there for common people.
