The ones I've had to do, that mostly works (and not just for "diversity training". It works for cybersecurity "training", privacy "training", any of them). Still annoying, but just put it on in the background and/or go do something else while the video plays, come back and answer a few painfully obvious questions, repeat.
The bad thing is that they're getting wise to that, so they start testing you on what John said to Yolanda in the video or some other nonsense rather than the actual material and they won't let you minimize the video to do real work.
Of course, it still can't deal with multiple laptops, so...
Can't you just play their videos on mute, or do they have BS questions about what the characters said to each other as a "quiz"?
