This is similar to the choices we had for mayor in Salt Lake City.
The one we have now is a Gender Studies major, LDS members campaigned heavily for her saying she can "work with" people. She was very concerned about rioters with masks and was cavalier about the destruction caused - "windows can be replaced, buildings can be repainted." And I suspect she is a gem compared to her chief opponent.
SHE wanted a Green New Deal for Utah, and thought Hispanics were being disproportionately affected by the virus. THAT person came within an inch of calling the virus "racist" in the local west side rag but didn't quite. I suspect the truth is many of the ones here are overweight and have diabetes.
So we had two mayoral choices, BAD and SUCKS. The first primary election before the runoff was a God awful microcosm of the national Democratic debates. The state GOP didn't even TRY to get a conservative in the race.
Salt Lake City is full of leftists. Think I heard it was one of the gayest cities in the US (literally). Even Provo has a good amount of leftists. Dont forget the BLM riot where some piece of shit shot an old man driving down the street.

That sounds so crazy. It is hard to imagine Utah being overrun by liberals. I assume it is primarily just SLC.....I hope.

Overall, still a very conservative state though.
