As an otherwise hard-core Pede, retired military, life long (R) voter and Trump (read "America') super-fan, I'm not gonna lobby for the kind of reddit subs coming over here that I follow...too much risk of attracting the wrong element. r/trees, r/mmj, etc.
Other than that, I think reddit is as garbagey as twatter, maybe more.

Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downvote. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to Reddit PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downvote appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.

Most important thing is be careful if sponsors or corporations buy space or fund this site, then the censoring will kick in the way it did on reddit.
