Not to be a bastard but what really helped was Stalin’s pathetic attempt to copy Hitler’s blitzkrieg of Western Poland which left his troops covering too large an area and with little supplies since they expected the invasion to only last, I think, two weeks.

Shit uniform color in snow helped as well 😂
