During these times, I'm reminded of Rev 6:6. You can still get Ammo, you'll just pay through the nose for it.

Probably a good idea if you need a box for self protection, but, maybe not the best time to get some to go plinking.

I’d run through a half doesnt boxes if antifa shows up. Funny, cuz i have dogs, so my property is fenced for their safety and enjoyment. I had a nut a few years back threaten to do me harm, so i have other security features. I had someone break into my cars on a couple occasions, so i have cameras too. So anyhow, my home is only approachable from two sides. If they get lucky and choose to approach one side, they maybe able to turn an run away while im shooting at them. But if they choose what would look like the hidden side, oh man, they are in a kill zone with no escape.

Really, there is no good way to do harm to anyone in my property, because on two sides, my neighbors would shoot you. On the other two sides, im going to shoot you. It was actually fortunate that i had the issues i had, because it really forced me to think about it.

And I'm fortunate (still sorry for your shit happenings tho) it happened to you so you could type this, thus making me really think about it.

God bless. The armor of God righteously protects you.

For a while 9mm Mak was reasonable. The supply chain screwing is insane.

I subscribe to the "quantity is a quality all it's own" theory and roll with 9mm JHP in a CZ Scorpion 8" "pistol" with folding brace and 35 round mags for work around the house.

Also it looks cool and is fun to shoot, so, you know, bonus.

My daughter asked me when we're going to go shoot. I told her Nov. 4, no matter what. No plinking until then.

You should still plink. Just run low round drills. Focus on fundamentals. Perfect your draw from concealment while firing 1 round per draw. Work target transitions w/ 1 rd/target.

Or get an air soft pistol. I have a Glock 19x airsoft gun and it is perfect for training. And you can shoot it all over your yard if you have houses close by while your geriatric neighbors think you’re a crazy person!

Very true. Good advice!

I got a CMMG conversion kit for the ar-15, runs on 22LR. Works very well, and is a lot of fun. I can plink all day long with a gemtech 22 supressor. No one is the wiser. I have a Colt 22 AR by umarex, but never use that anymore. Easier to use the big guy and the adapter. My older brother is trying to learn how to use an ar, so it saves precious ammo.

I have been shooting my g44 (22lr) a lot lately. It’s a great little trainer gun since everything else I run is Glock.

Do something better, get the equipment necessary to press your own ammo.

.... hahahaha good luck finding primers and powder.

1
jslenterprises 1 point ago +1 / -0

but don't the primers come part of the casing? and you can always make your own powder. in which case, you're essentially just sourcing the casings.

1
spezisapedo 1 point ago +1 / -0

nope. casing and primers are separate, and making your own gunpowder is a recipe for disaster. Even the pros get it wrong sometimes.

Even that is on backorder.

^This^ I heard in a barber shop, in early summer, that the locals were doing just this.
