Mainers don't eat crabs. They eat fried scallops, fried haddock, fried clams, boiled/steamed lobster and stove top boiled red hots (hot dogs) with canned black bread and baked beans... oh and lots and lots of corn chowder with a full stick of butter and whole milk.

Anthony Bordain was suffering greatly, when he did his Maine episode. Their food is bland and obscenely fattening. Ever try a whoopie pie? Diabetes... instantly.

Wow. Now I have to go and do some research. So far the results don't appear too appetizing https://www.masslive.com/food/2020/07/i-ate-canned-brown-bread-so-you-dont-have-to.html

Slice it and fry lightly in butter. Break up dry leftovers, add raisins and milk, make bread pudding. Or add more fruits and nuts and make a fruitcake pudding.

Steve1984 from the military MRE community on YouTube, needs to review that stuff.

"Interesting...it is a peat moss colored bread log, that is designed to soak up margarine."
