Oh, but then there is the Big One: who is "they"?

24
Banpen 24 points ago +29 / -5

Unfortunately, this is a legitimate rebuttal.

My dad used to say this to me when I was a young know-everything teen.

Who exactly is "they"? This vague idea of a deep state all powerful Illuminati THEM can only go so far without concrete evidence... Otherwise you're Kramer talking about "writing it off".

Would you be surprised to know that the same forces financing "leftist interest groups" are also financing many "conservative think tanks"? Why did Glenn Beck take Google money? Money, which btw, recently ran out, and now everyone wants to be frens with that snake.

I will give you a clue: what foreign country has seen every President visit since Nixon?

there's an easy answer to that question - those that hate Pres. Trump and want to insure he doesn't have a 2nd term as president

Some people come across better with a filter. Verbal communication is difficult to filter completely, while writing can be fine tuned to get your thoughts across more naturally.

I thought he was pretty obnoxious on that episode. I wouldn't look to him for much of anything. If the wind blew a different way, he'd be saying something else. He's a flippant teenager who likes to say things to impress or shock people. Just an educated one.

I wish that would happen too but I have given up on such dreams.

This is a bigger issue than it seems because posting in this fashion limits the impact of our collective focus on a particular issue to this site only. No matter how many times we upvote something here we are still likely speaking to supporters already inoculated with more red pills than you can count.

When you post correctly not only does the little thumbnail look pretty, anyone that instinctively clicks on the post will automatically be taken to Twitter and see the shitshow below.

Who knows, maybe they'll even feel like chiming in and posting something supporting GEOTUS.

Then that same TD post that would have been seen only by 99% GEOTUS loyalists here, has created a Twitter post with the potential of being seen by literally millions of leftist's eyeballs, and injected into their soft smooth brainlets.

Now multiply the above scenario by the amount of times a picture of a Twitter post is clicked here on TD.win. We are doing this to ourselves, and have no one else to blame.

My fix is this;

  • We must put a rule in place, just for Twitter posts.

Just Twitter. I know this is an issue with a lot of sites too, but I think we should be wary of creating hard and fast rules, in general. IMO, if we just put the rule in for Twitter only, it'll have the same impact as a rule for all sites. Simply due to the % of posts from Twitter on TD.win. And this way it doesn't come off as heavy-handed as I think a internet-wide rule might.

  • Post a wiki in the sidebar to show Pedes the correct way.

I do not think we are doing this on purpose. I think it's an honest mistake and people are just not aware of how big of an impact the way you post can have on how far the information posted may spread.

I can't really blame them considering the lack of a sidebar or any community wiki.

My hope was we could get this corrected by communicating it to the OP's in the post body and individually, but I am not the only one carrying the water for this cause and we have not made even a dent in the problem, from my perspective at least.

Hell I will write the thing if they will let me post it.

Or we can be content with staying in our little corner of the internet nice and contained away from the NPCs like they'd like us to be.

I've seen people who ticked off all four items in one night. Others will never notice that anything is even wrong (Karens and maskholes). All it takes is once though, when that curtain lifts for the first time and you see things you can't unsee.

Right now, they're trying to flush all the people out into the open who have proudly made it to step 4. Don't fall for it and rush out there just yet, wait til you can see the glistening of their salty, savory tears. Then it's Fangs Out Til Sunrise In America.

It is a melancholy truth, that a suppression of the press could not more completely deprive the nation of its benefits, than is done by its abandoned prostitution to falsehood. Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day. I really look with commiseration over the great body of my fellow citizens, who, reading newspapers, live & die in the belief, that they have known something of what has been passing in the world in their time; whereas the accounts they have read in newspapers are just as true a history of any other period of the world as of the present, except that the real names of the day are affixed to their fables... I will add, that the man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them; inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods & errors. He who reads nothing will still learn the great facts, and the details are all false.

Stargate SG-1 exchange between O'Neil and the other guy:

O'Neil: Ok this is gonna be a short flight so I'll be as succinct as possible.

Other guy: 'stares back quietly' That's pretty succinct.

Love Malice. He would reject any right or left wing label though. His goal for the US after all the divisiveness is an amicable divorce, in the same manner as Brexit

Love Malice. He's been on Rogan several times. He is in no way right or left wing though. He's an anarchist in the educated, historical way, not the antifa way. Considers government force illegitimate, and believes that no rights are up for discussion, let alone up for a vote
