Does anyone else remember when sickly old people would die from pneumonia and we'd refer to it as dying of old age?

Yeah, but them days are long gone. They changed the guidelines with covid so that it gets reported as the cause of death much more frequently despite comorbidities: https://childrenshealthdefense.org/news/if-covid-fatalities-were-90-2-lower-how-would-you-feel-about-schools-reopening/

Ironically pneumonia was termed "the old man's friend" because it was a quick and relatively painless way to pass on for those on their deathbed. Now it's THE MOTHER OF ALL EVILS THAT WILL CONSUME YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE. Oh, but rioters are immune. /s
