My rationale, after seeing the mobs attacking vehicles, trying to pull ppl out of vehicles, 15 round .45 might not provide adequate defense. With this setup I have options ...

Only thing I'd say is in a situation where your trucks getting mobbed that rifle might be a bit long to maneuver in a tight spot like a car/truck. It could also be perspective is making it look longer than it is. (Looks like a 20" but I'm sure it's only 16" my eyes are pretty fucked)

Having said all that, your a responsible adult and I trust you've done your research and you know exactly what tools are capable of.

Once again it's a beautiful rifle, congratulations.

AK pistol time

I remember seeing anti-carjacking stepside flamethrowers installed on SUVs in South Africa back in the day.

I figure if it gets real sporty I could rig something like that up to a couple of 20# propane tanks and make my truck a less enticing target.

I imagine you could probably change a lot of those human-chain's minds about the prospect of trying to get on your car, or anywhere near your crazy Mad Max lookin' ass, just by firing it up.

I'm sure that's a war crime or something

I have a 5 year old son who rides in the truck daily. I have hesitations of having a pistol in the truck as I see it being highly likely he would be able to pick one up and handle it vs the 16" barrelled rifle.

I would recommend ditching the drum mags, you don't need a malfunction when it really matters.

Drums are super fun on the range but not reliable enough for duty use.

While you can never have too much ammo (or too many guns), most of the mob will probably scatter away after the first shot's been fired.

If you're really worried about your truck getting mobbed a longgun with a heavy ass mag isn't the option you want. Better off with a AR pistol. That way you can store it somewhere where you can get to it quick and manuever it inside the truck. Have you practiced with how you would use that thing if your truck is surrounded? Like imagine sitting in the driver seat and trying to aim that rifle at someone by your driverside window. Or even out the front of your window.

It's gonna be a shit show. Best to get a 7.5-10 pistol or SBR for practical in-vehicle defense.

I'm looking at a Henry Axe .410 for a truck gun.

26.4" total length.

Don't know if a level action is the best choice or not for that situation.

Anyone thinks they have a better recommendation I am all ears.

Only thing I would say is that trying to shoot out of the front of your vehicle (due to the type of glass in the front) may make that hard to use. You typically want to fire out a few rounds to create "shooting hole" through the windshield. Hard to do with a shotgun that only holds 5 rounds.

I'd suggest an AR pistol (7.5" to 10.5" barrel) over anything else for a truck gun
