There was a 20/20 report on Food Lion mishandling expired meats. I stopped shopping there back then, that had to be prior to '99. I'm amazed there are any left.

They refused to admit that a BLM mask was political in nature. When I called corporate they said the only policy is that a mask must be worn by employees. I told them I just want to go shopping and that my money is paying their employee to advocate terrorism. They didn't care.

We've done more good for people in this country AND the world over than any other nation in all of history... and the Flag isn't just a representation of the good we've done, it's a representation of the ultimate PINNACLE of what we CAN DO. Even when we FAIL at our values, it stands for what our Perfection would be. But "Black Lives Matter" is a quantifiable EVIL. How many lives every week, BLACK LIVES, does BLM and their Riots end? Multiply that to see how much harm they'd do to their "own cause" if they'd existed for the entiety of US History.

But, Food Lion's uniform policy did not allow for staff members to wear clothing with "writing, insignia or symbols." Dean's manager told him that someone was offended by the American flag image, and he was not allowed to wear the mask anymore at work.
Probably after a flood of angry letters they realized the vast majority of their customers are patriotic Americans and this policy would damage their brand. I'm glad they reversed it. Too bad so many have to see which way the wind is blowing before they will take a stand.
Here is how Food Lion could have bypassed this whole issue and that was give employees FREE Food Lion printed masks and say that only Food Lion masks will be worn. Since the company is providing them for free--no cost to the employees. Everything is uniform and advertises Food Lion.
That being said...the issue of wearing masks is a whole 'nother argument. I am just saying if the company provides the mask/shirt/etc and says this is the uniform...then there is no problem (at least in my feeble mind)
Brilliant. This is actually a marketing opportunity that stores are missing out on. They could print advertising on these free masks. Or print “Wear this mask and get 10% off at checkout”. Even I would consider wearing a mask then. I grocery shop as little as possible and stock up when I go. My bill is always over $200. That would be $20+ off for me!!!
