I'm pretty sure that was right after he cleared a jam. I don't recall exactly. I'm just amazed he was abled to clear a jam under that pressure. This is why I have a fixed front sight post. If I find myself in a riot I'm mounting the bayonet immediately. Rifle doubles as a spear.

I always thought bayonets were gay, but now I see how a melee weapon can come in handy.

There's absolutely benefits to a floated barrel but I just like to know I have the option. If you run out of ammo you just have a paper weight.

I mean you can jab him with the muzzle or butt stroke them.

Regardless of whether you had an A2 style front sight I though you still needed a bayonet lug?

Most commonly the bayonet lug is on a fixed front sight post. I’m not aware of any other configuration that would allow you to mount a bayonet except if you had one that mounts to a picatinny rail.

Just looked it up you're completely correct! I own 3 AR's but none have A2 front sights and I never realized the sight and lug were an integrated unit.

I'm 100% mistaken here.

I thought that was implied unless you had to cut it off for commie state rules.
