Students need mental health care after hearing the Chinese word for "errr..."?

This is beyond parody, it's the platonic ideal of crybullying. "I am so damaged by your use of those phonemes that I must retreat to my safe space, and will try to get you fired". In a sane world, these students would be kicked the fuck out as temperamentally unsuitable.

They fired a sportscaster back in the 90s for using the word “niggardly”

'ge' pronounced 'guh' as in 'ni-guh' is a measure word and is used to illustrate objects

example : this / that or 'two of them' (liang ge 'a couple')

It's also used when describing the number of something, though that certain 'thing' will not always call for 'ge' as a measure word, there are others used when appropriate.
