Name one other drug that allows you to brag about how much you consumed. Imagine turning 21 and being like, I did 21 lines last night, posting it all over Facebook.
Sure some of the alcohol laws are dumb, like my county not selling alcohol past like 3pm on Sunday. But the culture very much encourages drinking. Not just drinking, binge drinking. I think if we had lower alcohol ages, we'd have less teenage drinkers.

Laws. Not culture. Though the culture is not as accepting as it is in Europe and Latin America. Also 21 drinking age and sting ops to enforce it.
