I think Texas is going to curb stomp the Dems this time.

Don't forget the 'Rats have economic geniuses like Bernie Sanders and Andrew Yang. They read Marx and now they can run the country's economy all alone.

Let's not pretend the Beto thing wasn't a terrifying wake up call.

23
FluffiPuff 23 points ago +25 / -2

Beto was a classic example of cheating. No base, no reality -

just illegal voters.

13
lonestarnuts 13 points ago +16 / -3

Unfortunately I disagree. There was a ton of visible support all over the San Antonio area. I genuinely believe lots of low info voters turned out in the cities.

I totally believe they will try and cheat to win but there was a legitimate attempt at a blue wave. As it stands even though Beto lost they still gutted the local elections in SA and handed over the district courts etc.

With Trump on top of the ticket I am not remotely worried.

Carry_Your_Name 4 points ago +4 / -0

Robert Francis O'Rourke is but a narcissistic looser. He was a pretender who likes to mimic Obozo's tone and gestures, and for that he was hyped by the fake news media as the next Obozo. It is important to call him by his real name, because "Beto" is just a label he puts on himself to appeal to latin americans.

GEOTUSMAGA 15 points ago +17 / -2

Well, it's a real danger.

17
Tartarian-King 17 points ago +18 / -1

Yes and no. Not close to what people think. Its still a good 40 years out, and with illegals leaving and being deported that threat may fix itself pretty quick. Especially if another Trump like president comes in 2024

20
NoahGav 20 points ago +20 / -0

Deport them all and destroy the democrat party and 90% of our problems will disappear.

5
anon1011101 5 points ago +5 / -0

The Democratic party needs to be destroyed by force, it's the only way they will stop their illegal activities

11
GEOTUSMAGA 11 points ago +11 / -0

You must not have been paying attention to license plates in Houston, Austin, Dallas, or San Antonio.

I do hope you're right though..

15
Tartarian-King 15 points ago +15 / -0

Not everyone leaving cali are libtards. Cali still has more registered republicans than most states have in population.

9
GEOTUSMAGA 9 points ago +9 / -0

I hope Nov 3rd proves it.

I'm ready to help liberate the future State of Jefferson whenever you guys are ready.

14
Tartarian-King 14 points ago +14 / -0

get rid of illegals nationwide and we'll be living like kings with how much money we save and how many corrupt politicians we can vote out. That money can go towards lite rails, space programs, fixing roads etc etc.

The illegals are IMO the number 1 problem in America. Yes the corrupt media is also but i still put the illegals above it.

3

7
Cesare_Borgia 7 points ago +7 / -0

There are two kinds of Californians in Texas. Those that fled California's state government themselves. And those who work for companies fleeing California's state government. What the proportions are I have no idea.

5
Block_Helen 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm in Texas and I have met several conservative refugees from other states.

Zero bubbles burst as its not the only reality. Every Californian i met in lubbock are 100% MAGA.

Dont take the black pill.

I used to live in Austin not even 2 years ago. The rest of Texas is no where close to austin or the surrounding cities. Borders with Mexico sucks but dont think its anything more than anecdotal.

I'm a native Austinite before it turned into shit.

I have met conservative refugees from other states here in Texas. My lib neighborhood has a goodly handful. I'm not saying they're the majority but they exist.

1
ohpleaseuhhelpame 1 point ago +1 / -0

true..we have a larger population of republicans than most states have in total population. Its too bad we can't take back California.

2
Tartarian-King 2 points ago +2 / -0

Get rid of illegals and Cali restores its prestige

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +3 / -1

License plates? What? You mean invasion from CA?

3
GEOTUSMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

And NY, Connecticut, Oregon, Massachusets...etc

But hopefully they're all based pedes and there's nothing to worry about.

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +3 / -1

Shocking. It would make sense for most of them to be patriots. I hope these people get greeted by solid patriots, and vetted / red-pilled as needed. NY and CA losing House seats to TX, with TX staying red would be glorious!

1
GEOTUSMAGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're assuming it's not an intentional invasion.

Afeazo 0 points ago +1 / -1

Yea but a California Republican is probably more left leaning than a Texas democrat.

I live in CA and know a lot of people who have been notified that their job is permanently work from home now. Where did they all move? Austin, TX.

If you live near or have recently been to Austin, the city is changing and its changing very rapidly. I was blown away by how much massive construction projects they have going on to account for the massive influx of people. And if you look at the 2016 election map with all the counties, you will notice that every single state is a majority red and one or two cities turn it blue.

Texas is in very real danger of flipping blue because all they need is one or two populated cities to vote heavily blue and they will have the state.

What EO by Abbott are you talking about?

As an outsider, he's terrified of blm.

6

3
booblitchutz 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agreed Abbott shat the bed with COVID, but I’m pretty sure he won’t be running for a 3rd term anyway so he was just bending over for the failed TX GOP. Complacent weak bastards.

If Abbott had been when he pretends to be he would have stood up against the shutdowns from day 1. Texas could have led the way in opposing the shutdowns, but once we fell the rest followed. Then the mask EO... Jesus Christ, the mask EO...

3
BallsackPaneer 3 points ago +3 / -0

Abbott has been an utter disappointment with his handling of Covid. All the goodwill and confidence he built up with his conservative voters was shredded by his re-closing of Texas. He should have called up SD Governor Noem so she could help him locate his balls.

I left on a month-long road trip, partially because I was disgusted at how much of a pussy he had turned into. I came back a month later to a Texas I no longer recognize with mandatory mask orders from the local commie and cucked corporations. The only businesses I've been frequenting are local gun stores and shooting ranges because they're one of the few places where the staff and customers refuse to comply. Thank God for that!

3
Goldlight 3 points ago +3 / -0

Most of the country had a disappointing handling of covid to be honest.

Most of the town fucking blows sadly. Crime filled, poor, it’s basically a slightly better version of Killeen which is the absolute worst place in Texas

5
MentalyStable 5 points ago +5 / -0

We know which demographic is making the areas not so great. Its mainly Military that makes up the cracker population. Id know I was looking for a house to rent there at one point. It was an awful place (Killeen I mean)

3
The_RedWolf 3 points ago +3 / -0

Killeen has so many problems, it’s definitely not limited to race. Fort Hood’s culture and strong arming of businesses that try to move into Killeen that aren’t national security or retail/service is a major contributor

2
MentalyStable 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hear that.

2
The_RedWolf 2 points ago +2 / -0

Most of the new growth isn’t bad. West Temple/Morgan’s Point is nice to kind of nice

Central and East Temple though.... woo boy

1
booblitchutz 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah Killeen is a nightmare. It used to be pretty nice though, about 30 years ago.

2
The_RedWolf 2 points ago +2 / -0

The middle eastern wars combined with the gentrification of Austin fueled this mess.

You got people who could no longer afford to live in Austin moving to Killeen, and then you had so many soldiers who ran into a slew of problems when they got home. PTSD, alcoholism, unfaithful spouse, other injuries, and for those in certain combat roles limited job skills other than having leadership or becoming a cop.

The fact that the wars were so protracted and deployments so long made it so terrible.

6
booblitchutz 6 points ago +6 / -0

Temple is the closest Texas town to Arlen. Either Temple or Killeen, except how Killeen is such a dump now

2
Jackjet10 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fort Hood is apparently a cesspool too

2
booblitchutz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ft Hood is a base. It’s like any other (only much much bigger) so it’s not nice or crappy. It’s just army, that should tell you all you need to know. Killeen on the other hand went to shit when Desert Storm hit and the soldiers were all deployed, then Clinton shut down divisions and little was left but the worst. Now I wouldn’t set foot in Killeen. Even the officers don’t live there, they used to, then it turned to shit and they moved out to Harker Heights. Then that turned to shit and they moved to Georgetown.

2
Emper 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah those people are crazy that drive is 45+ minutes.

2
booblitchutz 2 points ago +2 / -0
