They don't give an AR15 to every American citizen at birth or naturalization, regardless of what the media may have reported to you in your country. We still got to pay for them guns and they are pricey. Most of us are pretty damned jealous too. But I think that is a good thing generally speaking. Keep your eyes on the prize, so to speak.
