I don't think there's a whole lot the media can do to influence this election. So few people trust them at this point, when they attack Trump it generally backfires.
Im not sure if youre new to american elections but in the USA the media is literally responsible for calling the elections for who won... it's absolutely terrible but thats essentially how it works here.
No, electors cast their electoral vote based on the results from the States Secretary. The media can say whatever they want and it used to sway the voting entities to call early but nobody trusts their media. Liars and hopefully there is a hell.
The media can 'call' whatever it likes, but it is the Secretary of State in each state that actually certifies the election in each state. The media has nothing to do with it.
